You spoke to me

Oh Lord, this is a test for me. I feel like a big responsibility was delivered to me very early. I don’t know what to do with this big turn over. But as I read Psalm 3 you spoke to me very clearly:

"O LORD, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!

Many are saying of me,
"God will not deliver him."

But you are a shield around me, O LORD;
you bestow glory on me and lift up my head.

To the LORD I cry aloud,
and he answers me from his holy hill.

I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.

I will not fear the tens of thousands
drawn up against me on every side.

Arise, O LORD!
Deliver me, O my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.

From the LORD comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people."

Thank you my Lord. Help me face my weaknesses.

Psalms 1

Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
or sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.

Fear, Our Enemy

We are now conquerors for Christ but there is a giant that hinders us from continuing the mission He has entrusted us. The first thing a soul winner must confront is the spirit of fear. It hinders us from seeing what is unseen. It will put negative thoughts in our minds to weaken our spirit of conquest. It will discourage us to continue the battle. Fear is the strongest enemy we have in our ministry.

What is fear? (Accdg to Pastor Castellanos from the book "WIN through the G12 Vision")

It is to look at the circumstances with natural eyes and not God's eyes

When Moses chose 10 spies to inspect the land of Canaan only Joshua and Caleb were able to see what God sees. The other 8 saw the GREAT WALLS bigger that they were and they saw the people living there hard to defeat. They went home discouraging the people to continue because they were intimidated by the land and its people. But Joshua and Caleb had a different view about the land. They said that land was EXCEEDINGLY GOOD. They knew that with God, they could conquer the land of Caanan. Their spirituals eyes were opened. To be soul winners, we must operate the same faith Joshua and Caleb had.

It is to look at the circumstances as they appear and not as they are.

Fear clouds our minds and senses. It gives us wrong impressions of our surroundings. In Ezekiel 37, the Lord brought the prophet in the middle of a valley full of dry bones. He was asked by God to prophesy on the bones and make them live. Without fear, he commanded the dry bones to live and a vast army stood up on their feet and live!

It is the enemy of a conquering Spirit.

God promised to give the land of Canaan to Israel. God saved the Israelites from the hands of the Egyptians to bring them to the promised land. But they missed the chance because of fear. They wandered in the desert because of the bad spirit. "All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, "If only we had died in Egypt! Or in the desert! Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn't it be better for us to go back to Egypt? (Numbers 14:2-3)

It is a demonic weapon that destroys dreams

The nation's complaints made God destroy their dreams. God forgave them but the people who complained and feared were not able to see their dreams come into reality.

It is what the blind see-nothing

Fear hinders us from seeing the blessings of God. Wala pa nga tayong nagagawa, talo agad. Napangunahan na tayo agad ng takot.

Now, Lets declare ourselves free from fear!

1. Identify what you are afraid of.
2. Go the root of the problem.
3. Confront it.
4. Saturate your mind with thoughts of Faith.
5. Maintain yourself strong in Faith.
6. Cultivate absolute confidence.
7. Do opposite of what you fear.
8. Win Souls and Conquer the land!

Conquest

I am now meditating the wonderful pages of Joshua in the Bible. It opens with a promise of success and prosperity. God has revealed to me His mighty promises to Joshua and especially to us as we conquer the Promised Land He is about to give to us.

After the death of Moses, Joshua was commanded by God to lead the people to cross the Jordan River and invade the land the Lord was about to give them. I learned that it will only take 11 days to go to the Land of Canaan from Egypt, but it took the Israelites forty years because of their disobedience to God. God killed the disobedient generation and waited for the next generation to conquer the land. Even Moses was not able to enter because of the disobedience of the people. But Joshua was trained and encouraged by Moses to lead and take over. He indeed conquered the land!

Three Keys to Conquer:

1. Claim and Recieve the Promises

(Joshua 1: 3-5)

I will give you every place where you set your foot as I promised to Moses.

Listen Christians, we are now in the business of winning lands for Jesus. And God has assured us that whatever place we set our foot on, He will reward it to us. God has given us a conquering spirit. Remember that though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. It says in 2 Corinthians 10:4 “The weapons we fight with are not weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strong holds.” The battle is in the spirit. Now, we will set our foot on our campuses and on our work place and we would be able to conquer them because our weapons have divine power to demolish strong holds. We may think that we are not capable of conquering lands for Him, all God wants is our faith. We will overcome for Him!

Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates-all the Hittite country-to the great sea on the west.

God also promised that our territory will extend. Oh, I remember how God answered Jabez’ request when He prayed to God to enlarge his territory. Jabez had a bad reputation and a bad name but even with his past, God answered His request On the other hand, Great rivers, great seas and great lands were promised to Joshua. Your campuses are yours! Those are great lands to conquer! Don’t feel intimidated by thgreat lands because those are already ours!!!

No one will ever stand against you all the days of your life.

We are God’s soldiers. Our lives as a Christian are not simple. We always fight against the evil forces of this world but remember that God has given us a conquering spirit. No one will ever stand against us! Thousands may fall at our side but we will stand all the days of our lives with God.

As I was with Moses, so ill be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

No one will ever stand against us because God is with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. No one can take us from His hands. Our loved ones will leave us but not God. He is our shield and strength.

2. Be Strong and VERY Courageous

The battle is not easy but is also not hard; one has to have a strong and courageous heart. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged. God is with us wherever we go.

3. Be careful to obey all the law; do not let it depart from your mouth and meditate on it day and night.

Our strength comes from obeying the word of God. God is very thorough when it comes to obeying His word. To conquer the land, one has to completely devote himself to our Lord and His commands. In Joshua 7, after God has given the City of Jericho to the Israelites, Joshua was ready to conquer Ai. But to his shock, Ai chased the Israelites and killed thirty six of them. They struck them down and defeated them. Joshua cried before the Lord.

Was God not faithful to His promises to Joshua that He will conquer every land he will set his foot on? Why were the Israelites defeated?

In Joshua 6:18 God carefully instructed the Israelites to keep away from the devoted things, all silver and gold and the articles of bronze and irons must go into his treasury. But some of the Israelites acted unfaithfully, they have violated and have taken some devoted things and kept them in their tents.

God is just. He will keep his promises to us provided that we keep ours. We must carefully obey EVERY commands of the Lord. In doing so, He will make us Victorious. God is capable to give us the land but He tests us if we are faithful to Him. He is looking at our hearts! They were defeated because they did not obey.

Natatalo tayo, kasi tayo din ang nagpapatalo.

“Go, consecrate the people. Tell them, consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: That which is devoted is among you, O Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it” Joshua 7:13”

You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it!

We will stand against our enemies if we will consecrate ourselves. We will conquer if we will realize the value of obeying God’s commands and promises. We will conquer because of our intimate relationship with our God.

Oh no! I forgot about the promises of God to those who are faithfully reading the word of the Lord: PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS. You wanna be prosperous and successful in everything that you do? Relationship with the Father is the key.

"So Joshua subdued the whole region, including the hill country, the Negev, the wester foothills and the mountain slopes, together with all their kings. HE LEFT NO SURVIVORS. He totally destroyed all who breathed, just as the Lord, the God of Israel had commanded. Joshua subdued them from KAdesh Barnea to Gaza and from the whole region of Goshen to Gibeon. All these kings and their lands Johua conquered in one campaign, because the Lord, the God of Israel, fought for Israel."

What are the lands you want to conquer?
Do you want to conquer your campus?
Do you want to conquer your company or field of work?
Do you want to conquer your family?
Do you want to conquer your friend?
Do you want to conquer your dream?

These three are the Keys!

From Strength to Strength

Pastor Laurence Khong
Robinsons Manila
Cinema 6

I went to Rob expecting to catch a new revelation from God. Di din ako pumayag na hindi kasama ang potential leaders from my cell group. After the occasion I became more excited about God. I became more eager to know more about Him. I became more thrilled to see and do miracles for Him. I became more excited about His Vision. I became more excited about the multitudes. I became more keyed up to walk from strenght to strenght.

A lot of us started strong for God. Aba! Walang makakaapigil sa atin sa ministry lalo na pagkatapos ng encounter or conference na super na boost ang ating passion to labor for the Lord. It is so nice to hear that Christians grew from strength but after TWO WEEKS of passionate service, the fire easily moved out and just disappeared. Ganyan ako dati. And now that I’ve seen the beauty of God's presence and now that I’ve been more caught by the vision, my life and mind-set changed.

Kaya nga it is so important to train ourselves spiritually even more by reading the word of God and enjoying His presence. We should be stronger than we’ve first started, stronger until we see God from Zion.

Three points to keep us from strength to strength

Develop a pilgrim’s mind-set.

“Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.” Psalms 84:5

Pilgrim means traveler. We as Christian must develop a mind-set of a pilgrim, one who never settles down. We are always moving and always on the way. We will die with unfinished DREAMS. We will never stop dreaming. We will dream kahit mga patay na tayo! We will never retire! We will preach until we drop into the hands of Jesus!

Hindi tayo nagpapahinga, when we accomplish something, we move to the next assignment. Reaching the multitudes is not our ultimate dream, we dream more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more for God.

I pray that I will go from strength to strength! That my service for the Lord will last until God returns in Zion!

“As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.” Psalms 84: 6

As pilgrims, we will always pass through the valley of baca (valley of tears) wer our character is tested. In this valley, we produce pain and scars. Broken relationship starts. Someone very close to you will hurt your heart. Actually kahit mga taong di mo halos maisip na sasaktan ka will hurt you deeply. But passing through this valley makes our journey for the Lord interesting and motivating. Kahit anung dumaan na pagsubok we will go from strength to strength until God returns in Zion!

How lovely is your dwelling place Oh God!

Learn to run from God’s presence for protection

Pastor reminded us that mind-set is not enough, we should learn to run into the presence of the one who gives us strength and protection.

“Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked” Psalms 84: 10

The presence of God is my protection. Better is one day in the house of God than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a security guard in the church than to earn a million without the presence of God. I love to be with my people as we share dreams and passion for God. I love the presence of God. I love to rest in His presence

Take the word of God in your heart! Reading God’s word is the most exciting thing to do. Healing, Rest, Power, Dreams, Victory come in the presence of God. Moses, after talking to God at the mountain, has his face full of radiance. His face was full of glory because He always chose to be with the presence of God. No wonder, He was able to perform miracles before the eyes of the Israelites. There is power in the Lord’s presence.

Be excited to read and read and read the bible. Be excited to come to the house of God! And your life will never be as exciting as ever before! His presence brings protection! Run to Him!

Draw from God’s provision

Pastor Laurence told us that IT IS NOT ABOUT THE VISION. IT’S NOT ABOUT THE MINISTRY, IT’S NOT ABOUT THE MULTITIDE...IT’S ABOUT GOD. With God comes the multitude. Only those who come to God would be able to experience God’s provision. It is good for us to be excited to see thousands of people saved but we should be more excited about HIM---thousands will come later.

“O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you” Psalms 84:12

Lord, I'll be starting my first job next week. Thank you for providing me a job but I would rather stay in your presence than to earn a lot of money. Still, I know that I need money to help the ministry, help my family and to help myself. Please. Help me to grow from strength to strength.

I AM A PASTOR OF 12. I AM A YOUTH LEADER. TO BE YOUR AMBASSADOR IS THE GREATEST PROFESSION IN THIS WORLD. SIDE LANG KO LANG ANG WORK---A PLACE TO REACH SOULS FOR YOU.

Psalms 84

How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty!
My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-- a place near your altar, O LORD Almighty, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.

Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools.
They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.

Hear my prayer, O LORD God Almighty; listen to me, O God of Jacob.

Look upon our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one.
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.
